Enhance Healthcare Acquires Thistle Healthcare in Major Expansion Across Scotland
Enhance Healthcare is proud to announce the acquisition of Thistle Healthcare, a highly regarded care provider with a legacy dating back to 1987. This strategic move represents a significant step in Enhance Healthcare’s continued growth, expanding our portfolio to 21 care homes and services and enabling us to support over 1,100 residents and service users across Scotland.
Thistle Healthcare brings with it seven established services across Glasgow, East Kilbride, and Dundee, offering high-quality, person-centred care to older adults, individuals living with dementia, and younger adults with complex needs. Its values and commitment to compassionate care are strongly aligned with Enhance Healthcare’s ethos, making Thistle a natural and welcomed addition to our group.

The services joining Enhance Healthcare include:
- Ardencraig – 90-bed service supporting both older and younger adults
- Greencross – 76-bed service supporting both older and younger adults
- Greenhills – 45-bed care home for older adults and those living with dementia
- Lochleven – 100-bed specialist dementia and older adult home
- Netherton Court – 63-bed service supporting older adults
- Southview – 40-bed split service supporting both older and younger adults
- Whitehills – 106-bed service offering care for older adults and specialist dementia support
This expansion broadens Enhance Healthcare’s geographic footprint and creates new opportunities for knowledge sharing, training, and career development within our growing team. With access to first-class staff training, professional support, and a strong culture of collaboration, the move also ensures continuity of care and access to new opportunities for service users across all homes.
